Tuesday morning, Nov. 25

Well, this is our first attempt at creating a blog, so hope this goes well and helps you keep up with our family.

A little background on the family situation. On Sunday morning, Nov. 23rd, my Mother and stepfather, Patsy and Allen Casebeer, were travelling with three of their grandchildren. They are Aaron Baughman, 17, Michael Fauley, 12, and Megan Fauley, 12. These are DDee's and mine niece and nephews and my children's cousins. Early in the trip another driver pulled into their lane and struck them head on. My beautiful mother was taken to be with our Lord at that time. All others were injured and taken to Parkland and Children's in Dallas. Below are their conditions.

Allen Casebeer, 80, sustained multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung. Thankfully, he sustained no damage to his head and is able to communicate with his family and doctors. As of last night, he was undergoing his first surgery. They were going to work on his right leg.

Aaron Baughman has had several surgeries to correct internal damage and blood flow problems. Please pray that his right leg will properly circulate blood. Fortunately Aaron is a strong young man and just completed his senior football season for the Central Bobcats. His conditioning will help him through this.

Michael Fauley - what a trooper. He had surgery on Sunday, but is doing very well. They had him up and walking yesterday. We hope to have him out of the hospital in a week. Michael was the one that gave out phone numbers and locations to find his family so we could be called.

Megan Fauley - another strong lady. She has had more issues to get worked on than the other cousins. Yesterday was a good day and the doctors were encouraged by her blood flow to her legs, the swelling on the brain was not as critical as it could have been and her body seems to be responding well to this. She has a long road to go and doctors say she might be here for a couple of months. Please pray continually for this young lady and that she will fight off infections and continue to heal.

We have not made funeral arrangements yet for my mother. The services and burial will be in San Angelo with Johnson Funeral Home, but the dates and times are not know yet.

Thru all of this, our lives will go on. Thanksgiving will be here Thursday and we still have so many things to be thankful for. Saturday will be here soon and Brandon's football team is playing in the semi-finals. Brandon has still been attending practice this week and then coming up to the hospital in the afternoons.

Thank you for your prayers, calls, visits. For taking care of our family, home and children during this time. We love all of you.

Jeff & DDee, Brandon, Brianna, Brittany & Brooke

Dear Fauley Crew,
I'm so sorry for your loss and suffering!

Please let us know what we can do to help.

Let me know if it would help to have a midpoint between Dallas & Greenville to rest, eat, sleep etc. I live in Heath, mapquest says 39 minutes, 30.35 miles vs 55.46 miles 1 hr 3 min.

All the best,
Rich Krause

We love all of you and you are all in our prayers!

I don't know if you have ever heard the song "Held" by Natalie Grant, but I was reminded of the chorus as soon as I received the news:

"This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held."

Remember that God is carrying all of you through this time.

With all our love,
