Well, this has been a long couple of weeks. Allen's funeral was Saturday and was a true testimony of a man that lived to serve God and others. I am so thankful he was a part of our life and my Mother's life for 18 years.
More sad news this week. The toxicology reports came back on the lady, Jana, that hit our family. Jana was twice the legal limit at the time of the wreck. What a horrible testimony of what living a selfish, immoral life can do to others - even those you have never met. Not only did she leave her children with no Mother, she took the very best our family had from us. I know our family will grow strong in ways it wouldn't have otherwise, but it is hard for me to imagine what life is going to be like without Mom & Allen with us. They brought such a peace and enjoyment to everyone. We will miss them dearly.
Please pray especially for DeeDee regarding the news that a decision to drive while intoxicated led to our loss. This has touched a very sensitive part of DeeDee's life and she we will struggle with this for some time. Please pray that this tragedy can be used to prevent others that are presently headed down the same path as Jana.
Love to all, Jeff

Allen (Pepaw) passed away this morning
UPDATE: Funeral arrangements: Saturday, Jan. 31st, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Home in San Angelo, TX at 10am. Viewing Friday night at 6pm at Johnson Funeral Home.
Two months after the accident, Allen went to be with his Lord this morning. I am sure he is rejoicing with Patsy and many friends and family at this time. We will miss both Allen and Memaw greatly. What a great example they were to not only their family, but to friends and strangers alike. We love you.
Here are the words from AllenCasebeers Carepages as written by his daughter today: (www.carepages.com search for allencasebeer)
It's with saddened hearts that we give this news. Dad passed away this morning a little before 10:00. His heart rate and blood pressure dropped very low yesterday and they were not sure what caused that. He had been experiencing a lot of confusion and restlessness for the last week that seemed to increase each day. They tested his blood gases and sodium levels and they were fine. They did another CT scan to see if anything was showing up there and it wasn't. We thought this was just another one of those bumps in the road that he would overcome but it wasn't. This morning one of the men in our church went to the hospital to relieve Bev who had stayed with Dad all night. Apparently Dad's heart rate and blood pressure dropped very low again and by the time the nurses got to the room he had no pulse. We know that God is in control of everything and we rejoice in the fact that we know that Dad is now in Heaven with his Lord and Saviour. There have been so many of you who have viewed this Carepage and many who have left messages. We are grateful to each of you for your prayers and encouragement. One thing Dad would want to come from all of this is know that each of you have a saving knowledge of his Lord and Saviour. If you do not have this Eternal hope I urge you to seek someone out who can lead you to Christ. You can send a private message to this Carepage if you have questions that you do not want anyone else to see. We love you all so very much.

Well, the last few days have been better for Allen. After the seizures on Wednesday, there have not been anymore. Thank you Lord. Allen has been up and actually put weight on his legs. They have capped his trach so that he can talk for a short period daily. This has been really good. He has spoken to Aaron and Ellie and has joked with his daughters some. He has had friends come by and he waves at them and is excited to see them.
Aaron has been cleared to drive again! He even wanted to drive his truck to school last week instead of his Mom taking him - imagine that! By the way - Aaron turned 18 on Saturday!!!
Becky Crook, DDee's Mom, has come up to Greenville for a few weeks and been staying with us and DDee's sister Teresa in Royce City. That has been a good time for both Becky and us (and maybe Jim, too...grin...). She has got to spend a lot of time with DDee and our children. She has probably spent 15 hours watching basketball games already!
See you later, the Fauleys

All, it has been a while so I thought I would update our site.
Larry/Linda - thanks for the message and we are sorry to hear about the losses at your church.
Allen is going through a difficult stretch. He has been moved out of ICU and taken completely off of his sedation medicine (which he has been on for most of this time). He is alert now, but cannot communicate because of the breathing tube. As the sedation has worn off, it is apparant that Allen is going through the grieving process that we all went through over a month ago. Please pray for Allen and those ministering to him. Today (Wednesday) was a very difficult day. Allen experienced 2 seizures in a short period of time. The doctors quickly ran blood tests and a Cat Scan, but I don't think they found anything that is triggering them. Please pray for the seizures to stop.
Aaron, Michael and Megan are really progressing well. All are back in school (at least part time). Aaron gets some special help (i.e. Mom's car) to help him get from building to building on Central's college style campus. We are so thankful for all of their health!

New Year's update
Hello to all. It is now a few days past New Years and the past few weeks have been difficult but good. We spent Christmas in San Angelo and was able to spend time with many of our family. Jody, Corina and Ellie stayed with us at Mom & Allen's house. I wasn't sure I wanted to do this, but it was a good thing, although very emotional at times. Christmas will never be the same again, but we look forward to a wonderful reunion with Mom in the future.
It was GREAT to spend time with Aaron, Megan and Michael - all home and doing good. Aaron just got out of the hospital the week of Christmas and is still very weak. He is a strong young man and will recover well. Megan is amazing and is looking forward to getting her back brace off this year. Michael is just trucking along and was able to spend a lot of time with us and pointed out several cool cars to us as we drove around San Angelo!
Love you all and want to say thanks again for all of your prayers,
The Fauleys

Back in San Angelo!!!
We are not all out of the hospital yet - but everyone is back home in San Angelo now.
On Thursday, Allen was flown and Aaron was driven by ambulance down to San Angelo and admitted to Shannon Hospital. Everyone feels so much better being back in their home towns!
Allen is still recovering in ICU and currently has a ventilator so he is not able to speak yet.
Aaron is trying to knock the last of an infection out in his stomach incision and the doctors in San Angelo are hoping to have him home (out of the hospital) by Monday or Tuesday of next week.
Michael and Megan (and Doug, Angie and Jess!) have now spent several days at home in their own beds. Praise God for this. Megan was even able to attend the last of her team's basketball game on Thursday. Megan will have a in-home tutor for a while. Michael was able to start back to school on Wednesday!
They will be back in Dallas Sun-Tues for followup visits for Megan.
As for us in Greenville, we are slowly getting back into our routines. I have been back to work since last Wednesday - but not really full time yet. DDee went back to work this week at Boles and the children have been back in school for a week and a half. Brianna is playing Varsity basketball and Brittany is playing M/S basketball. Brandon is preparing to play in the TAPPS 6 Man All Star game tonight in Temple, TX. Brooke is keeping us all straight! Brianna left this morning for a long bus ride to a Mexico mission trip and Brandon will join them tomorrow morning. Please pray for a life-changing experience for the GCS kids as well as the orphanage they are going to.

GCS Eagles State Champions!!!
The GCS Eagles are officially the 2008 TAPPS Division 1 State Champions after defeating Rockwall Heritage Saturday 72-48 in a very hard fought game. Brandon also ended his high school football career not only with two straight state championships, but also received the Most Valuable Player award for this game. We are so proud of Brandon and all of his teammates. I would also like to express thanks to all of his coaches through these years, with a special thanks to Coach Larry Uland. You have had a tremendous impact on our son. We are praying for you and Charlene as you continue your journey as well.
