Today was Mom's Funeral

Mom was a beautiful lady and her funeral this afternoon was beautiful as well. Mom touched so many lives and it was evident today in the number of people who attended and the testimonies given. My younger brother, Jody, gave a wonderful testiment to the life she led and how she truly portrayed Christ's love. And thank you Lavell (I am sorry about the spelling) who gave testimony to the kind of friend Mom was to all. Lavell has become a special friend of Mom's over the last 18 years. Thank you to all who made this day so special - from the many churches who participated to Jody, Corina and Carrie for planning and creating the funeral setting. There was no one today that was ready to let Mom go, but we know that God will continue to use for many years the life she led to let others see Christ on this temporary earth.

I love you Mom.

UPDATE FROM DALLAS!!!
Recoveries are going well today.
Allen is still progressing and has now had his 2nd Dr. Pepper!
Aaron - we are thankful that he did not have to have another surgery today. Instead the doctors were able to put a "pack" on his stomach to fight some infection at the incision. He has been getting around better each day.
Megan - this girl is amazing. Today she walked (not wheel chaired) all the way down to the game room. She also had a shower! God is good.
Michael - traveled home for Memaw's funeral. Was able to visit with a lot of family and will be traveling back to see his sister on Tuesday.
Jessika came back to San Angelo with her brother and Dad. She will stay here and concentrate on getting her first semester in college completed!
Please pray for continued healing for all of these. Also pray for strength as the parents/families continue to stay with each of these 24 hours a day.

Your Mom was a such a beautiful lady. She demonstrated so much love to my sisters and me over the past 28 years. She was a dear friend and sister-in-law to my Mom. She was such a comfort to me over the past couple of years and always greeted me with a gentle hug and loving smile. I will miss her dearly. My heart aches for each of you because I know your sorrow but I also share in the joy of the legacy a beautiful, Godly woman leaves with her children. God will give you the strength to get through this and we will see your Mom and mine again one day and I am sure that they are together now, arm-in-arm, praising our Lord. Love you guys! Laura
